Geocache Description:

Amazing Heritage Tree, the Giant Spruce at Cape Perpetua. This is one of the largest Sitka Spruce on the coast and easy to reach by a short hike down a beautiful wooded trail.

To reach this cache you can park at the Cape Perpetua visitor center and hike down a will marked trail to the Giant Spruce. The cache is located just past the spruce up a steep uphill path. The cache includes an Explore Oregon Forests geocoin in a medium plastic case. Worth the trip to see this tree and learn more about Heritage Trees along Oregon’s coast.
