Columbia, Marietta and Wrightsville make up the towns of the Susquehanna Valley.
The town of Columbia was established in 1788. Previously the area was known as Wright's Ferry and was the Gateway to the West.
Marietta was an early Indian trade outpost. By 1736 it was known as Anderson's Ferry. It got it's current name from the many Marys and at least one Henrietta who lived in the area.
Wrightsville was incorporated in 1834. It was known for the Union forces retreating across the Susquehanna and burning the bridge to keep the Confederates from advancing only days before the fight at Gettysburg
