Patrónusa Szent József. 1714-től a vár köveiből a Berge György Kristóf várparancsnok adta telken építették a ferencesek, barokk stílusban. Főoltárképét 1747-ben Caspar Franz Sambach festette; a szószékkel együtt gróf Batthyány Lajos készíttette. 1816-ra elkészült tornyába 1823-ban Hitzelberger Károly épített órát. Stukkókeretes freskói Éber Sándor és Anna munkái 1926-27-ből.
A templombelső későbarokk megjelenése éles ellentétet mutat az épület egyszerű külsejével.

The patron of the church is Saint Joseph. It was built by the Franciscans in Baroque style. The late Baroque interior contrasts with its simple looks. The construction of the building started in 1714, "recycling" the stones of the old fortress. Batthyány Lajos (earl) had the altarpiece painted by Caspar Franz Sambach in 1747. The clocktower was completed by 1816, then in 1923 the clock itself was added to it.
