Lyhyehkö multikätkö Oulun ydinkeskustan alueella. Kätköön kuuluu viisi virtuaalista pistettä ja loppupurkki. Matkaa kätkön suorittamisessa tulee noin 1,5 kilometriä, kun kulkee virtuaalipisteet numerojärjestyksessä ja sen jälkeen loppupurkille.

Plaanaoja (oululaisittain Laanaoja), toiselta nimeltään myös Kaupunginoja, on pieni jokiuoma, joka halkoo Oulun keskustaa diagonaalisesti. Oja saa alkunsa Oulujoesta Heikkilänkankaan ja Iinatin kaupunginosien välissä olevasta Heikkilänsuvannosta, jossa haarautumiskohta on padottu. Ojan pituus on noin 12 kilometriä ja se laskee takaisin Oulujoen suistoon Pokkisenpuiston kohdalla Oulun keskustassa. Ojan vesi on ruskeaa. Keskustan alueella ojan ympärillä on useita puistoalueita. Ennen vanhaan puistoalueiden paikalla on ollut heinäpeltoja, mutta vuonna 1822 tapahtuneen Oulun palon jälkeen C. L. Engel ja J. A. Ehrenström laativat asemakaavan, jossa peltoalueet muutettiin puistovyöhykkeiksi. Puistovyöhykkeiden tarkoituksena oli toimia suoja-alueena tulipaloja vastaan. Oulun vanha satama oli myös aikoinaan Plaanaojan suulla nykyisen Pokkisenpuiston kohdalla, mutta se siirrettiin jo 1700-luvulla Toppilansalmeen.

A fairly short multicache in the centre of Oulu. The cache includes five virtual stages and the final cache container. The travelled distance is about 1.5 kilometers if you visit the virtual stages in the numbered order and then go to the final container.

Plaanaoja (or as people in Oulu say Laanaoja) is a small trench, which flows through the centre of Oulu diagonally. It is also called Kaupunginoja (the city trench). The trench branches out from the Oulujoki river in Heikkilänsuvanto area, which is located between Heikkilänkangas and Iinatti districts. There is a small dam where the trench diverges from the river. The trench is about 12 kilometers long and it empties back into the Oulujoki river delta in Pokkisenpuisto park in the centre of Oulu. The water in the trench is brown in color. There are a lot of parks around the trench in the city centre. In the old days those parks were just hayfields, but after the 1822 fire of Oulu C. L. Engel and J. A. Ehrenström composed a city plan, in which the hayfields were transformed into parks. The purpose of these parks was to protect the city from further fires. The old harbour of Oulu also used to be located at the mouth of the trench, but it was relocated to Toppilansalmi as early as in the 18th century.
