PF#7 Pileated Woodpecker Traditional Cache

This is one of a series of 10 caches along Pine Flat Rd, a dead end road that climbs up out of Alexander Valley. The lower part of the road has some private residences. The upper part is one of the Audubon Canyon Ranch Preserves, the Modini Mayacamas Preserve.

The road is basically a one-lane road, so plan for a leisurely drive and some stunning views. There is minimal car traffic, and you may meet some hardy bicyclists along the way.

The caches are mostly standard hides. All have safe stopping/parking spots nearby.  A GPSr was used to get all coordinates. Cachers who use their smart phones may or may not find adequate cell service.
