Geocache Description:

A small multi about the Battle of Stones River beginning at McFadden Cemetery and a short .2 walk to get information for the final.  Please CITO in the area to help keep it clean. Format is N 35 AB.CDE W 086 FG.HIJ

This is a multi in the cemetery series that starts at McFadden Farms Cemetery.  One of the deadliest and important battles of the Civil War was the Battle of Stones River.  It matched the Army of the Cumberland led by William Rosecrans and the Army of Tennessee led by Braxton Bragg.  With over 24,000 casualties, it helped boost the Union morale and made Murfreesboro a major supply line for the rest of the war.  You will need to get information from signs and monuments throughout the walking trail. Now for the puzzle.

AB=At Stage 1 waypoint, how many guns opened simultaneously upon the advancing Confederate Army and subtract 6?

C=What is the last number in the year on the bottom of the signs and add 1? 186?

DE=At Stage 3 take the last year in the sign and subtract 1,899?

FG=The starting coordinates will lead you to a small cemetery. There is a benchmark on a marker, what is the fine for destroying the marker. Divide that number by 2?

H=At Stage 2 divide how many yards the sign says it is to McFadden's Farm by 200 and subtract 1?

IJ= At Stage 4 how many years before the battle was Kentucky's John Breckinridge the Vice President of the United States and multiply by 5?
