Geocache Description:

The cache is small with a log inside.

The gardens originated during the first world war. The vacant field skirting Victoria road was donated to the Lenzie Council by Mr Arthur Pratt of the Lindens on 7.3.1917 for cultivation. There were trees planted in 22.10.52 to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth the second. In 2014 there were grants made to councils to form Centenary Fields in remembrance of the 1914-1918 war. Lenzie community council took this on board and have now completed the gardens with new dividing walls, paths and seats Remember the Past Protecting the Future.
