Geocache Description:

This cache should be easy, and is good for beginners or folks with children.

This search will bring you to the quiet mountain town of Cokebury. Founded in 1704, it was once a busy little community on a stagecoach route with a tavern, blacksmith shop, school, church and other activities. The principal economic activity was farming. Now the farming, the school and blacksmith shop are gone, and all that remains is the tavern, now a private home, and the rebuilt church.  It has no post office, no commercial activities other than an antique shop open on weekends only, and no local government.  It is a district of Tewksbury Township on one side of the road and Clinton Township on the other. However, the quiet country setting remains and makes Cokesbury and its sister village, Mountainville, a unique and special place to visit.  Both Cokesbury and Mountainville are now included in the National Register of Historic Places.

The container is a 4" x 3" x 3" Lock ‘n Lock. Its contents are a newly released Gaia geocoin, a Geocaching pin which is wearable but not trackable, a large plastic green and red cockroach, an eraser and pencil, a pencil sharpener, and the logbook. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THESE LATTER ITEMS!

You can park easily in front of the old cemetery, and then you will be almost on top of GZ. Thus, this cache is basically a P&G.

Warning: There is poison ivy around, although not a whole lot of it. Just watch and step carefully and you will be fine.

Happy caching!

Mac Carter, Cokesbury, New Jersey
