Geocache Description:

Wonderfull picnic area near the Santa Fe Trail on the Cimmaron Grasslands. Cool breeze and great shade trees even on a hot mid summer day.

We brought Dad here for a picnic on Fathers Day and decided the area badly needed a cache, especially since we have another cache that Mom helped us establish on Mothers Day a few years ago. Even on this hot June day, there was plenty of shade and a cool breeze making for a very enjoyable day. Lots of history and a hiking trail. The hand operated water pump even provides plenty of cool water. The Cimarron Grasslands is open range so watch for livestock.
