Grindelwald was developed by Dutch immigrant to Tasmania: Roelf Vos, after he sold his 'Roelf Vos' supermarket chain to Woolworths.
The village was established in the 1980's as a unique residential development with all the early houses built in Swiss style with wide eaves, flowerbeds, window shutters and balconies.
The 40 hectare Tamar Valley Resort was built around an artificial lake and shares the Swiss theme. The resort boasts a number of touristy shops, cafes and restaurants, golf courses and chalet accommodation.
Anyway, enough of that... The cache is quite small with limited room for swaps. It is located just off the resort's entry car park in a picturesque area of conifers and plane trees, byo pen.
Congratulations on the FTF... cheeky_bum15
