A 2 mile hike on the scenic (and paved!) Tallgrass Trail will reward you with this cache!
(Or, if you don't feel like a hiking that far, there is a small parking lot on Prospect-Upper Sandusky Rd (203) that will shorten the hike considerably). This trail is perfect for strollers and bikes and is easy walking because it is paved! There are numerous caches along the trail.
There is plenty of room for swag and trackables in this family-friendly cache. Please rehide as found and replace all natural camouflage. Be aware there may be some light thorns and maybe a little poison ivy, but I didn't see too much of either.
Congrats to pepsiman1978 on being FTF!
About the Tallgrass Trail:
The Marion Tallgrass Trail is completed for 7.3 miles, from the trailhead site at 2093 Holland Road West, just west of Marion, to Osbun Road. The trail follows the former Erie-Lackawanna railroad, which was abandoned in 1976. A paved parking area is available at the trailhead, and there is also a grassy ODNR parking lot just south of the trail on SR 203.
Well-behaved dogs are permitted, but must be on leashes and you must pick up and carry out their waste. The park closes at dusk (30 minutes after sunset). Horses and motor vehicles (except motorized wheelchairs) are not permitted on the trail.
The nature center hosts many interesting programs, and includes an outdoor pavilion with 6 picnic tables. There is a public restroom and drinking foutain available during warm weather.
An observation deck overlooks 53 acre Foundation Lake near the midpoint of the first mile, and a playground is available at the trailhead.
