Geocache Description:

My second cache hide - takes me places where I haven't been. This cache is placed near the entrance to a property which is named after an aboriginal word meaning ‘A place where fairies congregate’. THE PROPERTY IS PRIVATE, SO DO NOT ENTER THE GROUNDS.

The cache is found in a small village in the country, situated on Deep Creek. In 2011 the village had a population of 423. The school teaches 21 students. The village was originally set up in the 1840's as an overnight stop over for travelers heading north to Sydney. Platypus can be spotted in the local creek, although the severe drought has dried up the creek in the last several summers. In winter you can hear it running from GZ. The wombats also have burrows in the river banks. Parking on the side of the road is no problem as there are hardly any cars on the road. This cache is easy to spot, on PRIVATE PROPERTY with the owner’s permission obtained, but can be easily accessed from the nature strip.
