Welcome to the Pennsylvania State Game Lands. There are over 1.492,861 acres to explore in this beautiful state. This series is simply to get you out and enjoy short leisure hikes in seven separate SGLs.
SGL 198 consists of 6460 acres. This location has historical value to it. The Horseshoe Curve is nearby and you will be walking along an old railroad bed as the trail. Enjoy a estimated 1 mile round trip hike from listed parking. NO Bushwhacking involved. A enjoyable hike along a SGL road. PLEASE observe all state game land rules and wear orange during hunting seasons. BYOP! See hint if you need a spoiler.
There are seven traditional geocaches placed and one mystery type cache as the final. You are looking for a preformed tube which is roughly 6 inches long and about a quarter in diameter. It is covered with camo duct tape. Final mystery cache is a 50 cal ammo can.
The poker game is Seven Card Stud! Find all seven traditionals and record the card that is in each. You will then enter your "Winning Hand"(only five of the cards) into a Certitude Checker which can be found with all details on the GameLands PokerRun Final page. GC
