Welcome to the Adamson Estate, Built in 1919 - 1920 for Mabel Cawthra (Mrs. Agar Adamson) to a design by Sproat and Rolfe Architects. This beautiful old house is now part of a beautiful, lakeside park, and plays hosts to many a wedding photo, and special gathering.
This multi cache will take you from the sign at the posted coordinates, to one other sign (Stage 2), and then to the final (Stage 3). I hope you enjoy the walk. Feel free to explore the area, it is full of beautiful and interesting surprises.
At Stage 1, posted coordinates you will find a large sign, or infomative plaque.
A. How many acres is this site?
B. How many acres was the Grove Farm?
C. In what year did John die?
D. What year was The Folly built?
E. During what decade was the upper floor of the barn modified for public concerts (4 digit number)?
F. In what year was "W.E.D." carved into the beech tree?
At Stage 2, you will find another plaque.
G. What day, in September of 2014 was this plaque dedicated by Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry?
H. In what year did Mabel start living in Furnes, Belgium?
Now you have all the numbers. Do the following math: Add A+B+C+D, this gives a 4 digit number with a digital root of 8. Divide this 4 digit sum by 1000 and add it to N 43 30.081.
Then, add E+F+G+H, this gives you a 4 digit number with a digital root of 5. Divide this 4 digit sum by 1000 and add it to W 079 28.307.
That's it! Go get that sucker!
