Welcome to Okanagan Mountain Provincial Park, one of the largest Provincial Parks in the Okanagan Valley, covering over 110 square km of land. Despite being devastated by wildfire in 2003 and closed for the two years following, the park reopened in 2005 and is now once again teaming with life. The park is mostly only accessible by foot, horseback, bicycle or boat, as motor vehicle access is restricted to parks staff only. This series of caches for OCF VI are placed along one section of one of the many trails in the park, and I have tried to place them so you will have a spectacular view of the lake at each stop. These caches are a fairly signifcant hike from the trailhead along Lakeshore Rd, so make sure you wear good footwear, bring plenty of water, and be on the lookout for wildlife. You will need to bring a pen or pencil with you for most of these caches. Be safe, and enjoy your hike and the beautiful scenery in this wonderful park.
