Geocache Description:

More details to be added!!

Saturday, August 20 2016. 5pm-11pm

Join us for an evening of roasting weenies, marshmallows or whatever else roasts nicely over a bonfire.

It's Summer Camp time! This is the 10th year of GeoVenture and we are celebrating it at a new location! Camp Morton Provincial Park is a picturesque park on the shores of Lake Winnipeg and is located a few minutes North of Gimli.

This year we are keeping it simple. Camp Morton is a big change from our past years at Birds Hill Park. The group use areas here have no electric service, and an out house. (There is a modern bathroom a short walk away near the camp office.) It presents a different organisational challenge, but with community team work, we can make it a ton of fun!

Please revisit this page for details as some items are still subject to change.

The meal will be hot dogs roasted on a stick (or metal roasting stick) over a camp fire. We'll supply the dogs, buns and condiments.
Cost $1.00 per hot dog, $1.00 per drink.

For the potluck, we recommend common items that you would commonly serve at a picnic. Salads, chips, cookies etc. Please help us by cleaning up/removing the food items you brought with you at the end of the evening.

After the weenie roast, there will be campground shenanigans and games.

Camping details!

If you plan to camp, here's what you need to know.

Tent camping and trailer camping in the group use area is allowed. Large trailer campers that require a 5th wheel towing are too large for the group use area and are not allowed.

MBGA camping passes and costs are available at http://geocoin.mbgeocaching.ca/

(You will still need a Parks Manitoba pass!)
