Geocache Description:

The City of Madison has a glorious park system for its community. I have hidden this cache to encourage folks to check out this cache as well as their parks in their neighborhood. My boys and I enjoy visiting as many parks as we can and this one is a newish one on Madison's far east side

Welcome to McClellan Park! This park is open from 4 AM to 10 PM each day. No night geocaching please as the park is next to homes and condominums, and is not far from a city of Madison police station. The City of Madison Parks Department website has the following information about the park. McClellan Park is 4.51 acres in size. It does not have  restroom or drinking water. It has a full basketball court which still has metal nets on the rims as of the placemet of this cache (06-29-2016). There are no lights at this park. As I was taking a picture of the park sign, a resident (Ruben) came and talked with me about the discussion that there would not be lights at this park so as to discourage night time partying. There is nice playground equipment for children, including slides and climbing equipment with excellent cushioning material to support any falls.

The cache is not at the given coordinates. Use the given coordinates to locate the Parks Department sign for this park. The sign has three lines of information and is in yellow letters on a brown background. Use the information on this (and knowledge of Roman Numerals) to find the location for the final cache. Do not use the additional sign behind which is on a white background with green characters, it has no influence on this hide.

Final cache is at N 43 0A.BCD  W 089 1E.FGH

Please note that when determining the character in a line a single space counts as one. For example in the line FIND GEOCACHE, the fifth character is a space and the sixth character is the capital G.

A = 2nd line of sign, 18th character - convert this Roman Numeral to the number for A

B = 3rd line of sign, 2nd character next to 12 character - convert this Roman Numeral to the number for B

C = Use the entire 3 lines of the sign to get the total = Number of Capital C + Number of Capital A + Number of Capital F

D = 3rd line of sign, take the numeric value of the 6th character

E = 2nd line of sign, 18th character next to 17th character - convert this Roman Numeral to the number for E

F = Use the entire 3 lines of the sign to get the total number of capital O in the sign (do not use any zeros)

G = Use the entire 3 lines of the sign to get the total number of lowercase C in the sign

H = 2nd line, what is the ones digit of the number.

Have fun with this simple multi-cache! I told Ruben about the cache and about where it is, please say hello if you see him and have fun! Please do not post pictures of the park sign as that will rob future finders of the challenge of finding the cache, and I will delete any of those images so everyone can have the fun of figuring it out on their own. Thanks!
