I wanted to make a series to highlight places in Upshur County that people pass every day. So I set about to make a little loop from Sago -Tenmile-Queens-Tallmansville-to Buckhannon to let you experience life in Upshur County past and present. This is one of many sights around upshur county where the epa dumps lime in the rivers.here the watersare ruined and polluted by old and new mines.
Area 51 comes to mind. My dad says there used to be a lot more water in this part of the river. Before they deep mined and strip mined all around here. You'll need tweezers GPS might be needed. On the map there are two benchmarks listed as close ....but both have been removed and are no longer there. Who remembers the old fish hatchery that used to be on this spot? This contains a log only please bring your own pen and tweezers
