July is full of celebrations. Actually all months probably are, but this is about July. It was named by the Roman Senate in honor of the Roman general, Julius Caesar, it being the month of his birth. Prior to that, it was called Quintilis.
It was placed early on July 2 because this year midnight between July 1 and July 2 was exactly half way through the year.
It is a simple puzzle to encourage those who don’t usually do them to give puzzles a try. Note that often in puzzles numbers with 2 digits are added or the last digit is used. In this puzzle the last digit is used. The information about the naming of the month came from Wikipedia. That is another hint.
