Welcome to Western Maryland's premier Geocaching Event! This event occurs monthly... and almost every Second Thursday...BUT this month is slightly different. Check the page each month to make sure you have the correct coordinates. (The first Third thursday occured in January of 2012.) Hopefully this will become a monthly thing in the area.
What is FOURTH Thursday?
FOURTH Thursday is an informal gathering to talk geocaching and just socialize. It's a great way to get hints about caches that stump you, meet the faces behind your favorite caches (or the diabolical ones) and pointers for hiding your own caches.
Where is FOURTH Thursday?
It bounces around from month to month, so make sure you check back and get the most up-to-date coordinates. We choose restaurants in and around the Four State/Metropolitan area.
Who comes to FOURTH Thursday?
Everyone does. If you're a veteran cacher or this is your first one, it doesn't matter. It is always friendly and laid back. The "crowd" tends to be more adult, but there are usually a few youngsters at each event and they are always welcome.
When is FOURTH Thursday?
It's not the first or third Thursday, ALMOST always the Second Thursday of each month but THIS MONTH it's the FOURTH Thursday. More specifically, we start at 6:00 and usually carry on till 7:30 at the earliest (sometimes we stick around till 8:30). If you can't make it for exactly at 6:00, no problem. You're not considered late unless you arrive after everyone has left. It isn't uncommon for cachers to show up after 7:00 with the majority of cachers coming in around 6:00 to 6:30. Since this venue closes at 6:00 PM the hours have been backed up slightly. Please do check the event times posted below.

Why:
To eat delicious food, talk geocaching, and trade bugs. Those who wish to may also do some geocaching before or after the event.
Extra things to keep in mind:
- If you pick up a Travel Bug or trackable coin at one of the events, make sure you log it out so it doesn't show up in the events list. If a trackable sits as being listed in the event for a couple of months, the cache owner is the one that gets the e-mail from the TB owner(s).
- Each person attending will be responsible for any costs incurred for food and drinks.
- Schulas Grill & Crab House accepts cash, debit and credit cards. Please plan accordingly
