A small event helping to restore the grassland at Horsbere Brook Flood Alleviation Scheme in Gloucester, by collecting seeds at Hucclecote Meadows SSSI by hand.

When: We will be collecting seed at Hucclecote Meadows from 10am till 12noon on the 12th August.
Parking: There is some on street parking opposite the reserve on Laxton Road (or in many of the other side streets nearby).
Where: We will meet by the wooden gate (published co-ordinates) on Lobleys Drive or find us in the meadows if you can't get there by the start time.
There will be a Countryside Ranger from Gloucester City Council there, organising the seed collection.
- Gloves will be provided
- If any people have paper bags this would be great (although there will be some available on the day!)
- There is no age limitation, the fields are flat and easy walking
- Children and families are encouraged but must be accompanied
- The collecting will be through long grass, the choice of trouser may be down to personal preference
- The fields are open, without shade, so please bring a drink
If you are interested and have the time, you can sow the seeds at this CITO Event Sowing The Seeds of Love (GC6M8TF) on 15th August.
