Beautiful Lake of the Woods is home to over 14,000 islands. The northern parts of the lake near Kenora, ON are littered with unlimited islands to explore. We are blessed to have family that live in the area and give us an excuse to frequent the lake. In one of our favorite parts of the lake we placed this cache. The cache is only accessible by boat, and not easily accessible in the winter time as the lake ice isn't good enough to have an ice road. While the cache is accessible by boat from Kenora, we usually launch our boat in Clearwater Bay. From their the cache is about a 20min boat ride away. The cache is not difficult to find, but it is a 2-stage mystery cache. The posted coordinates will lead you to a location that with some simple observation will give you the key to decipher the cache's final location. Happy hunting!
