Our family adopted Jake's Hilltop Cache on 12/27/22!
We replaced the missing Geocache on 12/29/2022. A very special day - what would have been my Dad's 70th birthday. He passed away this summer, but he sure loved watching his oldest grandson play baseball out at the fields at Jake's Hilltop Park years ago!
You need to think SMALL for this cache - like one inch small! Pay attention to the hint! Bring your own pen to sign the log.
From the original cache owner: Happy 4th of July! We were out caching on the 4th and noticed that there was no cache in this community park. We placed this cache on July 4th, 2016, in honor of the park's namesake, Lance Corporal Jacob "Jake" R. Lugo. Corporal Lugo lost his life in Iraq on August 24, 2004, while serving his country with the United States Marine Corps. The park provides trails, five unlighted game baseball/softball fields, a basketball court, a playground for ages 2 to 5 years and a playground for ages 5 to 12 years, a swing set, benches, batting cages, restrooms, and a covered pavilion with picnic tables.
Congratulations to Paintballvet18 for being FTF!
