Calling all Lake Norman area geocachers....Calling all Lake Norman geocachers......Let's do lunch!!!
I think it's time Lake Norman had an event so area geoacachers can finally put a face with a name that we've seen on the logs, or maybe discuss a few tough hides in hopes of gaining additional intel to help erase a DNF, or work with others on a tough puzzle, or bring Travel Bugs/trackables to be discovered or traded...or...just hang out, enjoy some good eats, a cold beverage and socialize with your fellow geocachers. So whether you stop by for a few minutes or stay the whole time (or longer), it will be the easiest smiley you earn all summer.
If you've never to been to Eddie's on the Lake, it's a great place to meet. Eddie's is easily accessible by car AND by boat with plenty of parking for both.
If you've never attended an Event Cache, it's easy. Just "Log your visit" as "Will Attend" so we will have an idea on how many will be there, and then just show up. And if you're wondering how you will recognize people you have likely never met and likely do not use their real names in the cache logs, just ask the host/manager/staff when you walk in and they will point in the right direction (wouldn't that be nice to have some other caches?).
