Klenkes means "pinkie". Erecting the little finger (not the middle one) of the right hand is the traditional token of the people from Aachen, the Öcher. It reminds us of the industry of needle production which had been widespread in the region for a long time. Defective needles were sorted out from the assembly line by a typical motion of that finger. This part of the production process was called "ausklinken" - hence the word of the local dialect for that part of the body. Many Öcher having been doing this all their life developed a typical deformity and could thus be recognized by their crippled finger. Today, many decades after the decline of the local cloth and needle industries, you can still happen - let's say: in Katmandu - to spot two people greeting each other by holding up the right hand and showing their pinkie. Don't fear for their health, but you will instantly know where they come from.
If you happen to pass by N 50 44.991 E 006 03.468 on Sunday, 11th of September 2016, you will find some Öcher geocachers having a good time together and celebrating themselves and their hobby by an event - the Klenkes - held yearly and having also become traditional - as it has to publish some caches on the day of the event. -
Make four stencils according to figure I out of the four matrices A - D, i. e. blank out nine squares in each of them. The numbers will give you a clue which ones to choose. Then decipher the text in matrix E by following the instructions and complete the checker (Certitude) by every ninth sign, altogether thirty-two signs (without blank spaces or hyphens). If you are right, you will get the coords of the final.

... gilt üblicher Weise nicht als Ausdruck von Klugheit. Plastikdosen im Wald zu suchen erscheint Außenstehenden häufig auch recht dumm. Also müsste die folgende Knobelei doch etwas für passionierte Cacher sein, die sich alle Jahre wieder mit anderen ebenso (wenig) klugen Leuten zum ausgiebigen Grillen, Klönen und Knobeln treffen.
Fertigt aus den Matrizen A – D vier Schablonen nach dem Muster von Figur I an; Ihr müsst also je neun der sechsunddreißig Felder entfernen; welche, findet Ihr mit ein wenig Nachdenken bestimmt heraus.
Entschlüsselt dann anweisungsgemäß den Text aus dem Buchstabenfeld E und setzt jedes neunte Zeichen des Textes (nicht des Feldes), insgesamt also zweiunddreißig, in ununterbrochener Folge in den Checker (Certitude) ein, der Euch die Finalkoordinaten verrät, wenn Ihr es richtig gemacht habt.
