Wolf Pen Creek Park and Amphitheater was developed as the first phase of the Wolf Pen Creek Corridor Master Plan. This plan was approved by the College Station City Council in 1998. The goal of the comprehensive plan was to recognize the interrelationships of drainage, erosion control, and recreation along Wolf Pen Creek, as well as to create a community attraction for residents and out-of-town guests.
The park offers a variety of outdoor recreation experiences for all ages including walking, picnicking, and playground activities. The Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater offers a wide array of entertainment with outdoor concerts, plays and festivals.
In this series, you are looking for bugs. I usually try to avoid bugs in the woods, but that won’t help you here. You will need to bring your own pen and probably some tweezers would be helpful. Please replace exactly as found them to blend in as naturally as possible so they do not appear too out of place for muggles. Most of these caches will require minimal bushwhacking. Be aware of all the normal things you expect in the woods, such as mosquitoes, thorns, snakes and poison ivy.
