Sagan om Petra och Petter
Det var en gång en liten flicka som hette Petra som inte var som andra barn. Det märktes första gången när hon fyllde två år, och Pappa och Mamma frågade vad hon ville ha till födelsedagspresent.
—Vad önskar du dig till födelsedagen lilla vän?
— PET-jöjskojkaj!
— Vad sade du?
— PET-jöjskojkaj!
— Aha, PET-rörskorkar! Men… vad skall du med dem till?
Men det ville Petra inte svara på. Men hon fick ett par PET-rörskorkar och blev jätteglad över dem.
Till jul var det samma sak:
—Vad önskar du dig till julklapp?
— PET-rörskorkar!
— Jaha… men vill du inte ha något annat?
— Flera PET-rörskorkar! Röda PET-rörskorkar! Blå PET-rörskorkar! Gröna PET-rörskorkar!
Detta upprepade födelsedag efter födelsedag, julafton efter julafton. Andra önskade sig dockor och modelljärnvägar, men Petra ville bara ha PET-rörskorkar. Hon blev större, kompisarna ville ha mobiltelefoner och surfplattor och speldatorer, men Petra ville bara ha PET-rörskorkar. Vita PET-rörskorkar! Gula PET-rörskorkar! Nya PET-rörskorkar! Gamla PET-rörskorkar!
På hennes femtonårsdag tänkte Pappa och Mamma att nu måste det väl vara dags för något annat.
— Nu fyller du femton Petra, då vill du väl ha en moped?
— Nej, jag vill ha PET-rörskorkar!
Detsamma hände på konfirmationen, och studenten. Hela hennes studentskylt var prydd med PET-rörskorkar!
Men så kom den stora dagen, Petra blev kär i en pojke som hette Petter. Nu skall hon väl få annat att tänka på, tänkte Pappa och Mamma. Men nej, både Petter och Petra ville ha PET-rörskorkar i bröllopspresent. På presentbordet stod en hel tunna full med PET-rörskorkar som alla besökare fick bidra till.
Åren gick, och Petter och Petra samlade PET-rörskorkar till släktens stora förfäran. När de fick barn så kunde de små ses leka med PET-rörskorkar när andra lekte med skallror. (Naturligtvis var det barnsäkrade PET-rörskorkar!) Och födelsedagarna fortsatte som de alltid gjort, bara med större och större högar PET-rörskorkar.
Inte ens efter pensioneringen ändrades det. De fortsatte samla PET-rörskorkar. Och de var såååå lyckliga tillsammans!
Strax innan han skulle fylla 75 år satte tyvärr Petter en PET-rörskork i halsen och dog. Trots det sätt han dött på så envisades Petra med att begära PET-rörskorkar till begravningen.
Till slut, där Petra var gammal och skröplig och låg på sitt yttersta, så samlades de yngre släktingarna runt dödsbädden. Och de var förstås tvungna att fråga:
–- Snälla du, vad var det egentligen ni skulle ha alla PET-rörskorkarna till?
— Jooo… sade Petra, det var för att…
Och så dog hon.

There was once a little girl named Petra who was not like other children. This was first noted when she turned two years old, and Dad and Mom asked what she wanted for birthday.

— Aha, PET tube caps! But ... what do you want those for?
But Petra did not answer. But she got a pair of PET tube caps and was really happy about them.
For Christmas it was the same thing:

The same happened birthday after birthday, Christmas after Christmas. Others wanted dolls and model trains, but Petra just wanted PET tube caps. She became bigger, her friends wanted mobile phones and tablets and gaming PCs, but Petra just wanted PET tube caps. White PET tube caps! Yellow PET tube caps! New PET tube caps! Old PET tube caps!
At her fifteenth birthday Dad and Mom thought that now it should be time for something else.
— Now you turn fifteen Petra. Surely you want a moped?
— No, I want PET tube caps!
The same happened on the confirmation, and the graduation. At her graduation, her parents met her with the traditional graduation board, with the difference that it was adorned with PET tube caps!
But then came the big day, Petra fell in love with a boy named Petter. Now she will get other things to think about, said Dad and Mom. But no, both Peter and Petra wanted PET tube caps as wedding gift. On the gift table was a whole barrel full of PET tube caps brought by all the visitors.
The years came and went, and Petter and Petra kept collecting PET tube caps, to the confusion of the family.. When they had children, they could be seen playing with small PET tube caps when others played with rattles. (Of course, kid safe PET tube caps!) And the birth days continued as they always had, only with bigger and bigger piles of PET tube caps.
Not even after retirement, they changed. They continued collecting PET tube caps. And they were sooo happy together!
Sadly, just before he would turn 75 years old, Petter got a PET tube cap in the throat and died. Despite the way he died, Petra insisted to request PET tube caps for the funeral.
Finally, when Petra was old and frail and the end was coming, all the younger relatives gathered. And of course they were forced to ask:
— Please, can you tell us what you needed all these PET tube caps for?
— Weeelll... Petra said, it was because ...
And then she died.
