Geocache Description:

A conversation thread in social media reminded me that a Geocaching 101 event might clarify many of the questions.

There have been new players and we have had some recent events that have made new people in the area aware of geocaching.
This is an event for newbies, and the veterans will be nice to have around to pair up with some of the newbies.

This introductory class will teach you the basics of participating in the game of Geocaching.

The event will start at 6:30 PM in the Princeton Public Library which is in Princeton High School.
6:30 PM - Questions and answers and a PowerPoint Presentation
7:30 PM you will hunt for the TEMPORARY caches around the front of the school.
7:30-7:45 Come back inside and learn how to use the site, and have another Q&A session.
Depending on the amount of questions and our pace, should be done by 8:00.

There will be a PowerPoint presentation give to show the basics of the game. After the presentation, the newbies will be paired up with a veteran. The newbies will have a chance to cache on their own with the assistance of a veteran (if needed). After hunting for the caches on the lischool grounds, we will come back in to answer any questions you might have, and to show you how to use the website. This will be a great event for those who are geocachers but are still green.

The above coordinates will lead you to the parking lost - signs will lead you to the Library Center. There will be a sign on one of the library meeting rooms to the left when you first walk in. If you have a GPS device or a smart phone please being those to learn how to use while looking for the geocaches. There is seating for about 40 people so please log a will attend, plus this will help give us an idea for handouts.

The newbies that come will leave with some caching supplies that have been donated for this event.

Note: If the veterans could bring their devices to make sure the newbies will be able to use a GPS device to get a feel for using a device if they don't have one.
