Whilst on holiday in Charmouth we enjoyed doing the '...Calling' series and so wanted to develop this type of cache back in our home area. This is now one of several '...Calling' caches we have in this area. We often geocache with our children and their grandparents, and so wanted to develop a series that has easy parking and good facilities nearby.
Unfortunately BT no longer allow geocaches in or on their phone boxes, so this one is located a very short distance away. It is an unusual small container and you will need to bring your own pen (see the spoiler photo for the type of container you are looking for). There is plenty of parking and good facilities nearby.
Fascinating Fact: The New Forest is steeped in interesting history, for example the local the pub is notoriously (and somewhat gruesomely) named after the last woman to be publicly beheaded in England - Alice Lisle was a daughter of Sir White Beconshaw of Moyles Court at Ellingham (just down the road, now Moyles Court School), and was found guilty of harbouring fugitives back in 1685. She was publicly executed in the Winchester market-place on 2 September 1685 and is buried in a tomb on the right hand side of the porch at St Mary and All Saints Church, in Ellingham, Hampshire.
Congratulations to TheWee1 on FTF :-)
