Geocache Description:

This is a standard Geocache placed in a pretty section of woods off of the paved Turquoise Trail (walking/biking) in the woods of Reston, VA.  Both parking areas will afford you a lovely, mostly flat, easy wood walks with good birding.

Parking at the Pony Barn Pavilion is only about 0.3 miles from the cache, and the Soapstone Drive parking is about 0.6 miles.

When approaching the cache, you will need to leave the paved Turquoise Trail and take a wooded trail towards St. John Neuman Catholic Church.  The trail will then fork (from both east and west ends of the trail); take the downhill fork/split (i.e., toward the stream) to stay on public property and avoid approaching the church.

You will notice some unusual (for the area) geology when you get close to the cache!  See if you can find the perrenial springs, and note the restored stream valley when you get close to The Glade stream.
