Geocache Description:

This is the seventh in a series of caches placed to highlight some great marches in music. This part of  the series is along the Stavich Bike Trail, and can be reached with a short hike from either parking spot. This medium sized cache is placed in the usual way. Please replace as found. This cache placed with permission from the Lawrence County Planning Department.  Congrats to Dr. Cachenstein for FTF.

Years ago, before radio, TV, and the Internet, entertainment was hard to come by. Marches were the pop music of their day. “High School Cadets,” by John Philip Sousa, was written for the cadets at Washington High School in the District of Columbia. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU TRAVEL NEAR THE ACTIVE RAILROAD TRACKS OR RAILROAD TRACK BEDS.
