This is my first kayaking hide. It's located on Irondequoit Creek and you will need a boat to reach this cache. I chose the name because I absolutely love kayaking and now that the warmer weather is here I'm always thinking about the next time I can go kayaking. The Irondequoit Creek is a beautiful area. You will see lots of wildlife while en route to this cache. I have seen swans, geese, blue herons, ducks, turtles, fish and many birds I don't know the names of.
There is a public boat launch on Empire Blvd. across from Bay Creek Paddling. From this public launch, the cache is 1.3 miles away. You can also start out at Ellison Park to reach the cache if you'd like but I haven't kayaked from that location so I'd recommend the Empire Blvd. launch.
There is a small beach area on the way to the cache, so feel free to bring a picnic lunch and exit your boat and enjoy your lunch before or after finding the cache.
There is no room for a pen or a FTF prize. Please bring your own pen. I hope you really enjoy finding this cache. Update 7/31/16: I replaced the container and you are now looking for a small camoed pill bottle. Please only remove the bottom of the bottle and do not untie the whole container. Thank you!
