Här fortsätter letterbox cache serien med den sjätte cachen i serien: 6th of 10 letterboxes in Vörå . De följande skall bli: 7th of 10 letterboxes in Vörå, 8th of 10 … och den sista 10th of 10 letterboxes in Vörå.
Tästä jatkuu letterbox kätkösarjan kuudes kätkö: 6th of 10 letterboxes in Vörå. Seuraavaksi tulee: 7th of 10 letterboxes in Vörå, 8th of 10 … ja viimeiseksi 10th of 10 letterboxes in Vörå
Common frog The common frog is the most widespread amphibian of Europe occurring from northern Spain to the North Cape in the northernmost Scandinavia. The northern populations of the common frog are interesting because of their slow pace of life: while frogs in southern Scandinavia mature at an age of 2-3 years and die typically before age of four, frogs in northern Finland take 6-7 years to mature and live up to an age of 15 years.
Common toad The toad is an inconspicuous animal as it usually lies hidden during the day. It becomes active at dusk and spends the night hunting for the invertebrates on which it feeds. It moves with a slow ungainly walk or short jumps and has greyish brown skin covered with wart-like lumps. Common toads can live for many years and have survived for fifty years in captivity. In the wild, common toads are thought to live for about ten to twelve years. Their age can be determined by counting the number of annual growth rings in the bones of their phalanges
Moor frog The moor frog is a close relative of the common frog and although quite common in Fennoscandia, many people are not familiar with this rather cryptic species. The species can be distinguished from the common frog by its smaller size and more pointed snout.

First time I met this toad named Sigurd was one evening last year when I was out trying to run to keep my body fit. I almost stepped on him but fortunately I am not a fast runner and managed to stop in time.
We started to talk and he told me the most amazing things. For example he told me that his favorite game is croak-et and that his favorite sci-fi movie is Star Warts. He even told me about the most amazing adventure that he once had. I'm gonna try to remember all of it and tell it to you too. Ladies and gentlemen, here comes Sigurd's tale!
It was a lovely summer night and I was sitting and enjoying the warmth from the asphalt that still was very hot from the sun that had shined mercilessly in the middle of the day. Then suddenly some boys came on bikes and stopped when they saw me. One of them picked me up and put me in his pocket and then they continued their trip on the bikes. I heard them speaking and the boy that picked me up said something about "barbecuing the frog"! I got scared when I realized that I was the frog, stupid kid can't see the difference between a frog and a toad! I managed to escape from the pocket after some time and struggle. The landing was hard but I was alive and nothing was broken!
What now? Where am I? Where is my home and dad? Suddenly I got so homesick and just wanted to be home with my dad that always told stories about thing that happened to our ancestors. In a distance some water started to spray out of the ground on a big green field. It looked so refreshing that I just had to go there to get a shower. I really enjoyed the the odd shower that came from the ground, when suddenly somebody tried to kill me!
It was a big ball made of metal that landed just a few inches from me. The ball had a string attached to it and in the other end of the string was a handle. Angry as only a toad can be, I started to walk in the direction from where the ball came. In a circle at the end of the green field stood the man that had thrown the ball at me. I saw when I came closer that it was David Söderberg that was improving his hammer throwing technique. I didn't want to disturb him so I continued to walk in the same direction that I was heading. Soon I was standing in the middle of a gravel road. I had learnt that roads are dangerous, so I decided to follow the path that went into the forest. There was a sign that showed that lots of things was forbidden, but toads seemed to be allowed. The wide path was covered with lots of wood chips.
After som time when I was walking along the path I felt some strange in my body. I saw directly the reason when I checked the surrounding environment. Above my head was an electricity line hanging and I am electromagnetic hypersensitive. I hurried away and soon the path crossed a very small road. The path started to descend toward some water and a strange small house on wheels. The house was so strange so I just had to look closer on it. I counted the wheels it was standing on, and looked at all the pipes and hoses. I decided it must be the water pump station for the strange shower-field that I experienced before. This was an nice and interesting place but it was not my home, and I really wanted to get home to dad, so I continued my journey.
The big question for me was in witch direction my home was. I had no clue, so I just made a decision to follow the waterline and head to southwest. I came after a quite short distance to a road again. The road was built between two water filled sandpits and I decided to follow it. I left the sandpits behind me and followed the road further up into the forest.
At some point there started to stand poles with lamps on top of them along the road. I followed the road and looked at the lamps, but then the lamps went away into the forest and the road continued in another direction. Now again was it time for me to choose witch way to continue. This time it felt more interesting to follow the lamps. The path under the lamps led me to a bridge over a decent sized ditch.
Suddenly after the ditch came a strange place. There was a deep pit with water in it. Around the pit was lots of small buildings. I remembered one of my dads storys about my grand-grand-grand-grand-grandmothers sister when she once was caught by some kids and placed in an pond like this one. He told me that the humans had built that place and called it "Södersunds Semesterby" or in English "The Holiday Village". I saw that there were numbers on most of the buildings. There were also a number plate on the red building made of logs. The building had two yellow doors and a nice but old and worn veranda.
I did not want to stay at the place any longer and continued to follow the lamps. Now again was an road following the lamps. My trip under the lamps brougth me again to place where the lamps headed in another direction than the road. The path with the lamps felt somehow more dangerous than the road, som i continued to walk along the gravel-road.
I had now reached a big open area made of gravel when I felt more than saw that something dangerous was looking at me. And now I also saw what was looking at me. There were two crazy elks standing completely still and they both stared at me. (Sometimes there is only one elk, but lets pretend they are two and identical). They were pointing toward an area that had fences around it, I guess they wanted to trick me into the fenced area so they could catch me. The elks had big antlers on their heads with lots of tines. The antlers were both fascinating an scary, while I run away from the elks I also managed to count the amount of tines they had.
The big open area had just changed to a road again but it was a far to big road for me to be safe on. I had luck again and found a smaller road that headed to the right from the bigger road. It was impossible for me to feel safe even if the road was small. They had cut down lots of trees around it and I had no protection at all. The small road passed some summer-cottages. I heard the next danger that approached me after I had passed the second one. From a small grey house at the end of the road came a dog barking and it headed right toward me. I found on the left side of the road a path covered with wood chips that some kind of big machine had made. That path saved me from the barking monster. I followed the wood chip trail until it took a sharp turn to the left, there I continued straigth ahead on the path that were most used. Soon came a small lake or pond into my view on the right side of the path.
I saw on the other side of the water a building that was a little bit bigger than normal summer cottages. I can't describe how happy I was to see that building! That building is an old summer camp that they changed to a normal summerhouse sometimes in the seventies. I counted the windows on the first floor (on the long side of the house visible from my side of the pond)to be sure that I saw the right building and it sure was the old summer camp. That my dear friend ment that I knew where I was and that I just had a short travel left to get home to my father.
I continued to follow the path until I came to a deep ditch with a footbridge. I cant tell you any more now because otherwise some evil kids can find our hiding place. BUT I have heard that geocachers are friendly people so if you want to visit our home, then I have a task for you!
When you are standing on the footbridge, go in a direction and a distance and hopefully you will find our hiding spot.
I have counted things and seen numbers in my story, I hope you did the same because you need those numbers now.
The direction (bearing): (((windows * the amount of tines on the elks) * wheels) - ((number on wall - one) * the amount of tines on the elks)) - one
The distance (meters): ((number on wall + one) * the amount of tines on the elks) + one
GOOD LUCK!
