This is a cool place to come and enjoy the views out over the lake or visit the raptor watch platform and check out the views over the marsh. There used to be a traditional cache at the Raptor Watch platform however it frequently disappeared and there are often photographers hanging out here making it a challenge to keep it going. I have decided to archive that cache and make this one instead, as it will provide more privacy and take you to another cool spot, but you will also be able to check out the raptor watch platform if you want.
At the posted coordinates you will find a sign. You will need to gather some numbers to get the final coordinates.
1. Determine the length of the Lake Ontario Trail in metres. Take this number and multiply by 3 to get AAA
2. Determine the width of the Lake Ontario Trail in metres. Multiply 446 x this number to get BBB.
The final cache is located at N 43 50.AAA W 78 57.BBB
*** Update***. Had to move the final container a bit due to high water levels so once you have calculated the North subtract .004 and for the West add .011
