The105 Street Overpass was a 3-lane bridge constructed in 1960 and traversed north-south over present day 105th Street between 103rd and 105th Avenue. It was constructed to accommodate automobile and pedestrian traffic to cross over the railway tracks in the old Canadian National Railway yards that ran along the north side of 104 Avenue. The overpass would have soared above the geocache location. As the railyards were phased out by 1988 the overpass was removed by 1996.
This picture from the CN Tower in 1985 when the railyard had already started to be decommissioned. In the middle can be seen the overpass prior to being demolished.
