[ENG] Montone is a walled medieval village, apprrox. 1600 inhabitants overlooked by a little church (with brilliant views over the the Tiber valley) and a lovlely Piazza where you can have great ice cream and cool drinks in the afternoon or a nice dinner in the evening.
Whenever we spend our holidays close by, we come here for at least an icecream and found it a pitty that there has been no cache. But this will change from today, since we placed a nano at one of the best viewing points to honour the person who introduced us to geocaching four years ago: Happy Birthday Pippiwings!

[ITA] Montone e un piccolo villagio di montagna con circa 1600 abitanti e una chiesa dalla quale si puo ammirare una fantasctica vista sulla valle del Tevere.
C'è anche unna bella piazza, dofe si mangiare deliziosi gelati o prendere le bibite frese. Di sera si puo anche mangiare in locali tipici e molto elegante
Tutavia siamo dispiacuti che non vie alcun cache qui. Cosi abbiamo deciso da creare il primo cache a Montone! Ance come regalo per la persona che ha presentato questo geocaching-virus quattro anni fa. Con tanti auguri a Pippiwings

[DE] Montone ist ein kleines Bergdorf mit ca.1600 Einwohnern und einer Kirche mit phantastischer Aussicht über die Tiber-Ebene. Seit vielen jahren kommen wir oft zum Urlaub machen in die Nähe und jedes mal geht es mindestens für ein Eis nach Montone. Allerdings haben wir uns schon oft geärgert, dass es hier keinen Cache gibt, was wir hiermit nun ändern wollen: Es ist gleichzeitig ein Geburtstagsgeschenk für die Person, die uns vor vier Jahren mit dem Geocachingvirus infiziert hat: Herzlichen Glückwunsch Pippiwings!
Viel Spass beim Suchen des Caches aber vergesst über die Suche nicht, die tolle Aussicht zu geniessen.
