GroundSpeak has kept us on our toes this summer. We were notified of the Duck Race, where special Duck Travel Bugs were put into caches on July 20th, and raced for a month to be put into an Event on August 20th. Various prizes are being awarded.
On July 22nd, Premium Members received a special email with a coded message that tells what to do to receive a special Souvenir on July 30 or 31. Regular Members found out how on July 29th. Two more notices were sent out during August.
International Geocaching Day is today, August 20th, and a Souvenir is earned by finding a cache or attending an Event.
While all this is going on, a Texas Geocacher is on a 3-week Road Trip. He's solving puzzles, finding caches of various types, moving TBs, attending Events, and having a grand time traveling through the Midwest. Now, his time is almost up, and he will be heading south again.
That Texas Geocacher is myself, 8Nuts MotherGoose. I graduated from Clinton High and worked in Clinton until I retired.
