Op het moment dat ik deze cache maak, heb ik nog maar 10 caches gevonden, zonder GPS of apps, gewoon met een kaart ;). Geocachen is toch eigenlijk gewoon schatzoeken en wat is er nu leuker dan schatzoeken met een echte kaart? Vandaar deze geocache…
Veni (WP1)
Zo'n 2000 jaar geleden was heel Gallië (zo heette Frankrijk toen) bezet door soldaten van Caesar, de Romeinse veldheer. Heel Gallië?
Nee, een kleine nederzetting bleef moedig weerstand bieden aan de overweldigers en maakte het leven van de Romeinen in de omringende legerplaatsen bepaald niet gemakkelijk...
Je komt op WP1, je ziet en je vindt een schatkaart (Hint 1). (De kaart staat ook online op deze pagina, want echte schatkaarten zijn nu eenmaal soms niet goed meer te lezen.) Gebruik je fantasie en je zult zien dat deze schatkaart de plattegrond is van het dorp van Asterix en omgeving (de speeltuin). Alle figuren op de kaart hebben een link met objecten/speeltoestellen in de speeltuin. Volg de route op de kaart langs Panoramix, Kostunrix, Hoefnix, Assurancetourix, Asterix, Obelix en Idefix, maar pas op: de Romeinen zijn op patrouille!
Vidi
Beantwoord vragen I – VI achterop de schatkaart. NB: je hebt geen kennis van de Asterix strips nodig om de vragen te kunnen beantwoorden! (Behalve bij vraag II. Zie afbeelding.) Met een beetje fantasie vind je de antwoorden in de speeltuin. Bijvoorbeeld: wat zie je in de speeltuin op de plek van vraag IV? Met een beetje fantasie zijn dit…? Dus het antwoord op de vraag is…? (Hint 2)
De vragen zijn multiple choice en achter elk antwoord staat gecodeerde tekst. Je moet de code achter de goede antwoorden gebruiken om het eindcoördinaat te vinden. Julius Caesar vertelt je hoe… NB je kunt de Caesar’s Box in de afbeelding op deze pagina gebruiken, a.u.b. niet op de schatkaart zelf schrijven! (Zie ook: Hint 3).
Inveni (WP2)
Je bent nu aan het einde van dit avontuur beland. De Galliërs organiseren een groots banket om jouw overwinning te vieren: de toverdrank is gemaakt, de Romeinen zijn afgeronseld, het schip van de pi’aten is weer eens gezonken en de bard… tja… kijk zelf maar op WP2: N51° 53.AOI E005° 18.PHK (Hint 4). Let op! Assurancetourix ontvangt alleen genodigde bezoekers. Gebruik het wachtwoord PHK (van boven naar beneden) om binnen te komen.
Nota Bene
- Kijk uit voor dreuzelende kinderen en hondenuitlaters! Of neem je kinderen en/of hond mee als cover ;)
- Stop de schatkaart a.u.b. weer terug zoals je hem vond (met het touwtje goed in de buis).
- Zet het wachtwoord weer terug op 000.

Veni (WP1)
The year is 50 BC. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans. Well, not entirely... One small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders. And life is not easy for the Roman legionaries who garrison the fortified camps of Totorum, Aquarium, Laudanum and Compendium...
You come to WP1, you see and you'll find a treasure map (Hint 1). Use your imagination and you'll see that the treasure map depicts the village of Asterix and it's surroundings (the playground). All characters on the map are related to the playground equipment. Follow the route indicated on the map paying a visit to Panoramix, Kostunrix, Hoefnix, Assurancetourix, Asterix, Obelix and Idefix, but be careful: Roman soldiers are on patrol!
Vidi
Answer questions I-VI on the back of the map. NB: you don't need to know the Asterix comics to answer the questions ! (Except at question II, see image.) Using you imagination you can find the answers in the playground. For example: what do you see in the playground at the location of question IV? Using your imagination this is actually a...? So the answers to question IV is...? (Hint 2)
Questions are multiple choice and there is coded text behind every answer. You must use the code of the correct answers to find the final coordinate. Caesar explains how... NB you can use the Caesar’s Box in the image on this page, please do not write on the treasure map itself! (Hint 3).
Inveni (WP2)
This adventure has come to an end. The Gauls organise a grand banquet to celebrate your victory: the magic potion is finished, the Romans have been beaten up again, the ship of the pi'ates sunk again and the bard.. well... have a look yourself at WP2: N51° 53.AOI E005° 18.PHK (Hint 4). Attention! Assurancetourix only receives invited guests. Use the password PHK (above to below) to get in.

- Beware muggling kids and muggles walking their dogs! Best cache moment is during school times or in the evening.
