Our volunteer time slot starts Saturday, September 17th at 8:00 am and ends 11:00 am. Please come out and help with Garden Maintenance at the San Antonio Food Bank at: 5200 W. Old US Highway 90. Gloves will be provide if you don't have any to wear. A water fountain is also available to refill your water bottle. Please plan to wear pants you don’t mind getting dirty in the knees. Children are also welcome provided they stay with their parent.
Arrival instructions: Please arrive 10 minutes early so you can check in at the volunteer entrance (that means 7:45-7:50 am). Please make sure you sign the Food Bank garden liability form. OPTIONAL: If you would like to donate any items to the food bank when you come, please see related link.
We will have an opportunity at 11:00 am to tour the inside of the Food Bank facility at the end of our CITO. There is also a small Corner Store inside the Food Bank that you can purchase some light snacks or drinks if you need that as well.
