The cache approach is a short walk along a public footpath; which may be a little muddy, and in summer will contain plenty of nettles to brush against - so shorts are probably a bad idea!

Church of the Holy Cross, Upper Langwith
The Grade II Listed Parish church dates from the 13th Century and was restored by Norman Shaw in 1877. Construction is from coursed rubblestone and ashlar, with a lead roof and stone coped gables with gabletted kneelers. The south side has a deep gabled porch with a parapet, and string course at the base of the parapet.
There is also a moulded depressed four-centred arched doorway with small four-centred arched window above. To the north there are steps up to a four-centred arched doorway, and to the west is a single light window with recessed and chamfered surround.
Inside, the porch has a pointed stone tunnel vault with three chamfered transverse ribs and stone seats on either side. The church has a plain white-washed interior.
The font and pulpit are by Shaw. Unfortunately chances are that the church will be locked, although it is possible to arrange a visit.
