Le due maggiori isole dell’arcipelago sono collegate da un ponte. Dalle poche notizie che sono riuscito a recuperare il ponte è stato costruito probabilmente nel 1891. Infatti prima chi si recava a Caprera lo poteva solo fare con la barca. Anche Garibaldi doveva necessariamente usare il mezzo nautico per recarsi alla sua casa. Anzi una volta naufragò pure dalle parti di Cala Caprarese (e la leggenda narra di non ben precisati beni trasportati – ma la cosa qui non ci interessa).
Il ponte venne sostituito negli anni 60 da un nuovo manufatto più moderno con una struttura in ferro e da un paiolato in legno. Era girevole e si apriva a metà per consentire il passaggio delle imbarcazioni. Non so se e quanto abbia funzionato l’apertura del ponte, io lo ricordo sempre chiuso.
E’ stato sostituito nel 2009 con uno più grande in cemento armato in occasione dei lavori del G8 mancato, consentendo il transito contemporaneo dei mezzi nei due sensi, cosa prima non possibile.
La cache
Oltre a interpretare correttamente l’hint, ricordatevi che nei pressi del ponte stazionano molto spesso dei pescatori che non amano essere disturbati. Se volete che la cache duri nel tempo siete pregati di fare la ricerca solo quando la zona è deserta.
