La Cache
Cache per veri avventurieri : per raggiungerla si dovrà attraversare lo stretto di mare che separa la costa del Parco di Punta Falcone dall'isolotto prospicente che prende il nome di Scoglio Falcone. Si consiglia di raggiungere lo scoglio a nuoto. Possibilità di avvicinarsi in canoa-kayak ma la natura dei fondali richiede particolare attenzione. Correnti marine molto forti.
Il Parco
Il Parco di Punta Falcone rappresenta idealmente il confine tra il mar Tirreno ed il Mar Ligure. Oggi gradevole parco cittadino, in passato Punta Falcone ha ospitato la batteria navale Galeazzo Sommi Picenardi armata con cannoni di medio calibro 152/45. Da qua si può ammirare l'Isola d'Elba ed in giornate particolarmente chiare si può intravedere la Corsica, l'Isola di Montecristo e le altre isole dell'arcipelago toscano.
Il parco di Punta Falcone presenta interessanti aspetti botanici e faunistici oltre che storico culturali.

The cache
This cache is only for real adventurers. In order to reach it, you have to cross the strait between the coast and the little island in front of it whose name is Falcone Cliff ( Falcone stands for « the big falcon ).
The easiest way to reach the cliff is by swimming ; it is also possible to paddle with a kayak but the particular characteristics of the seabed around the cliff require skills. Streams are quite strong in this place. Be carefull
The Park
The park of Punta Falcone represents the limit between the Tyrrenhian and the Ligurian Seas. Today it is a nice and peaceful urban park but until the World War II it has hosted an important naval gun battery called Galeazzo Sommi Picenardi with 152/45 mm artillery.
From here you can admire Elba Island and in those days when the sky is particularly clean Corsica Island and the other islands of the Tuscan Archipelago are clearly visible.
Along with its historical aspects, the park displays also interesting flora and fauna elements.
