Geocache Description:

WH-58

Ever wanted to power cache in the Southern Black Hills, well now you can.  The Whitehorse Power Trail has something for everyone.  There are park and grabs, hiking caches, and even a rock pile or two.  The series of caches are brought to you by Fastfella & MGR, Chill & Julie, and Pintail 11.

The caches are along the Whitehorse Road between Hill City and Custer.  Roads open for vehicles include the Whitehorse Road, FR 387.1A, and FR 387.1N.  Most of the caches you need to hike to are located along old roads and trails that are not open for driving.  It would be good to have a Forest Service Motor Vehicle Use Map to know where you can drive and can't.  A small vehicle should be ok on most of the roads, but the last half mile or so of the 387.1A might be difficult, especially when wet.

So get out the GPS, lace on your hiking boots, and hit the trail.  Most of all be careful and have some fun.

This cache is walk in only. You are looking for a small container. There is room for small item or two. There is a pencil in each but please BYOP in case the one in the cache disappears.
