This cache is a sort of a spin off from the “Who was on Gugh” on Gugh, Isles of Scilly. It was a cache we failed to find despite desperately wanting our name in the title for a short while :( Thanks to heartradio for the idea.
Southbrook Lane runs along the north west edge of Bovey Tracey. At one time it was the road to Southbrook Farm from the Moretonhamptead Road in Bovey Tracey. However, in 1987 the A382 was re-routed to bypass the centre of the town. The A382 now follows the route of the former railway track and Southbrook Lane has become bisected. The first part of the lane nearest the Moretonhampstead Road is now a footpath with steps down to the bypass. If you look carefully under your feet you can still see the remnants of the original tarmac. Access to Southbrook Farm is still on Southbrook Lane where it now begins on the A382 itself.
This cache is placed at the side of the now public footpath and is not on private land.
You will need to bring your own pen/pencil and you may also need a pair of tweezers
