The above is the original discription from when the cache was published but it's been a few years now and most of the caches in the series are gone now, but a few remain, this one I'm keeping and adding a bit to it.

Back when we started caching in 2009, about a year later we started placing our first cache, it took until 2016, but all along I had an eye on the Carnation Marsh.  I'm not really sure why, I think it's partly because it's such an unknown place.  People kept telling me I couldn't do it, that there had been three caches before mine and they all sercum to being washed away.  4 years later this is the longest lasting cache in the marsh.  Flooding is definately a problem, and after this revamp, I am going to change how I manage it which should improve the cache for everyone.

The Carnation Marsh is a 67 acre King County park.  I have been unable to come with much history to write down about the marsh, but the history is there, and you will be surrounded by it when you are in the marsh area.  Think about it.  If you drive in from the Fall City side you'll pass a number of farms on your way.  If you come from the Carnation end you'll pass a few homes, and golf course before you get to the marsh.  But what was the valley like before the farms, the houses, railroad, the car roads.  It probably looked a lot like the Carnation Marsh.  Now there is only this small 67 acres that is natual.

There is parking for your geo-mobile at the parking coordinates, the cache is just a few hundred feet from there. You are looking for a green Ammo box. Please be advised that this cache is located in flood plain so it will not be available when the Snoqualmie River is flooding.
