Ben Franklin earned the title of "The First American" for his early and indefatigable campaigning for colonial unity. He was also a polymath. His accomplishments are many, too many to list them all. He was a founding father of the United States, a top notch scientist and the first Postmaster General. His portrait is on the $100 bill.
