Appena prima del ponte, subito dopo l'incrocio con via Crispi a sinistra, inizia la vecchia mulattiera per Brunate. Inizia con quest'opera (1817) l'ascesa di un paesino sperduto, di 200 anime, conosciuto solo per le cipolline vendute nei mercati di Como. Dopo la costruzione della funicolare (1894) Brunate diventerà addirittura in una delle più importanti località turistiche della Belle Epoque.
Una scalinata a due tornanti ci porta rapidamente dietro gli ultimi condomini di via Crispi recintati da un muretto che porta sulla sommità interessanti resti di un piccolo acquedotto in disuso.
Dopo pochi minuti, si deve fare attenzione ed imboccare a sinistra una gradinata in salita (indicata). Sul successivo tornante, appena prima di un paio di piccoli trovanti, si incrocia il sentiero che sale da Via Maurizio Monti .Ai piedi dell'ex convento di San Donato , si incontra uno sterrato in piano, percorribile anche con piccoli mezzi fuori strada che porta a Garzola Superiore. Ora si affronta il punto più ripido della mulattiera, che consiste nel salire le scalinate che passano davanti al portone principale del complesso edificio sacro per poi, girargli attorno e raggiungere una piccola strada asfaltata che si trova a monte. Appena si attraversa la stradina, la salita si fa più dolce e in una ventina di minuti si raggiunge Brunate. Sebbene la salita non sia proprio morbida, il percorso intero non richiede più di 45/60' ma senza dubbio, il bel panorama, sul lato ovest di San Donato, vi ruberà qualche ulteriore minuto.

La cache è posta lungo il sentiero guardate bene dove la prendete. Un minuto ancora, vi servirà per risistemarla come l'avete trovata comportatevi da geocacher responsabili.

Just before the bridge, just after the junction with Via Crispi left, starts the old mule track to Brunate. Start with this work (1817), the rise of a remote village of 200 souls, known only to the onions sold in Como markets. After the construction of the funicular (1894) Brunate even become one of the most important tourist resorts of the Belle Epoque. A staircase with two turns quickly takes us behind the last condos on Via Crispi fenced by a wall leading onto the top interesting remains of a small aqueduct into disuse. After a few minutes, you should be careful and turn left into a steep flight of steps (indicated). On the next bend, just before a couple of small boulders, crosses the path that goes from Via Maurizio Monti .ai feet of the former convent of San Donato, it will come across a dirt road in the plan, even passable with small off-road vehicles leading in Garzola Superiore. Now we face the steepest part of the trail, which is to go up the stairs that pass in front of the main door of the sacred building complex then, goes around it and reach a small paved road that is located upstream. As soon as you cross the road, the climb becomes more gentle and in twenty minutes you reach Brunate. Although the climb is not really soft, the entire journey takes no more than 45/60 'but no doubt, the beautiful view, on the west side of San Donato, will steal a few more minutes.

The cache is placed along the trail look carefully where you take it. Another minute, you will need to readjust as you found your manner of geocachers responsible.
