I forbindelse med udviklingsmøder i Båring Banke Lokaludvalg blev der i 2015 taget initiativ til etablering af en skulptur sti i Baaring/Asperup og der blev i den forbindelse dannet en arbejdsgruppe ”Arbejdsgruppen for Kulturel Udvikling på Baaring Banke” I 2015 blev der indgået en aftale mellem Arbejdsgruppen for Kulturel Udvikling og kunstneren Birgitte Thorlacius, om at opstille skulpturer på den planlagte skulptursti langs Kærbyvej. Skulpturerne er lavet af den lokale billedkunstner Frede Troelsen, der desværre døde i sommeren 2014. I foråret 2016 udmøntede dette sig i en invitation fra Arbejdsgruppen for Kulturel Udvikling til afholdelse af Baaring Bankes første kulturdag! Programmet for dagen bød på åbning af atelier ”De Mispelblom”, Lærkestaæde 4 ved Christine Beelaerts, fernisering på Asperupgaard Lærkestræde 2 i forbindelse med åben have, samt ikke mindst indvielsen af Nordvestfyns Skulptursti på græsarealet langs Kærbyvej i Asperup med taler og musik. Skulpturerne på stien er lavet af Frede Troelsen og Steffan Herrik. Den Nordvestfynske Skulptursti er under fortsat udvikling og i slutningen af juli 2016 blev endnu en skulptur opstillet på stien i Asperup. Skulpturen hedder ’Dreng med hund’, og er lavet af den norske kunstner Per Ung i 1966. ’Dreng med hund’ blev skænket af Albani Fonden i 1970, og havde sin plads ved Middelfart Rådhus, men har nu fået lov at blive deponeret på Den Nordvestfynske Skulptursti i Asperup. Det er Arbejdsgruppen for Kulturel Udvikling i Asperup og Roerslev sogne der i samarbejde med kommunen, og ved hjælp af kunstnerne Steffan Herrik og Birgitte Thorlacius, har fundet skulpturens nuværende plads. Arbejdsgruppen er meget taknemlig for at kunne vise den til publikum. During developing meetings in Båring Banke Local Committee in 2015 the establishment of a sculpture trail in Baaring / Asperup were initiated and in that connection a working group "Working Group for Cultural Development on Baaring Banke" were formed. In 2015 there was an agreement between the Working Group for Cultural Development and the artist Birgitte Thorlacius, to place sculptures on the planned sculpture path along Kærbyvej. The sculptures are made by the local artist Frede Troelsen who unfortunately died in the summer of 2014. In the spring of 2016 this resulted in an invitation from the Working Group for Cultural Development to organize Baaring Bankes first cultural day! The program for the day marked the opening of the studio "The Mispelblom" Lærkestræde 4 by Christine Beelaerts, private view of Asperupgaard, Lærkestræde 2 in connection with the open garden event, and not least the inauguration of The Northwest Funen Sculpture Path on the grass area along Kærbyvej in Asperup with speeches and music. The sculptures on the path is made by Frede Troelsen and Steffan Herrik. The Northwest Funen Sculpture Path is still under development and at the end of July 2016, another sculpture is placed on the path in Asperup. The sculpture is named 'Boy with Dog', and is made by the Norwegian artist Per Ung in 1966th 'Boy with Dog' was donated by Albani Fonden in 1970, and had its place in Middelfart City Hall, but has now been allowed to be deposited in the Northwest Funen Sculpture Path in Asperup. The Working Group for Cultural Development in Asperup and Roerslev parish have in cooperation with the municipality and with the help of artists Steffan Herrik and Birgitte Thorlacius, found the sculpture's current space. The Working Group is very grateful to be able to show it to the audience.
