Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

This is one in a series of caches for all you Puzzle-heads. The Puzzles are medium to difficult to solve, but the Finds are generally easy; i.e . Terrain=1.5 or 2.5, close to roads, no wading or bushwacking, and there should be minimal Poison Ivy.

Here are a few old Algebra/ Mathematical/ Logic puzzles; hence the anachronistic references and values. Determine the answers for each puzzle to determine the final coordinates.

1.The Bank Error - A man cashed a cheque at the bank, but the bank gave him dollars for cents and cents for dollars. He didn't notice the error, pocketed the money but spent a nickel on the way home. At home he discovered that he had exactly twice the cheque amount. The exact amount of the cheque was $AB.CD.

2. Dollars and Cents - In a store, a man spent one-half the money that he had in his pocket. When he left the store, he had just as many cents as he had dollars when he went in and half as many dollars as he had cents when he went in. When he entered the store he had $EF.GH

3.Loose Change - The largest sum of money, in pre-2000 coins, that one can have, without being able to give change for a dollar, half-dollar, quarter, dime and nickel is $J.KL.

4. Divided Estate - A man left his (small!) $100.00 estate to his sons Al and Bob. If one-third of Al's estate is subtracted from one-fourth of Bob's, the remainder is $11.00. Then Al's estate is $MN and Bob's estate is $PQ.

5. Ages - If you add the square of Tom's age to Mary's age, the sum is 62. If you add the square of Mary's age to Tom's age, the sum is 176. Then Tom is R and Mary is ST.

The cache is a micro so BYOP and please just write your id and the date.

The cache final is located at N44 0a.bcd W78 1e.fgh, where a = A - B, b = N , c = E-F, d = J + K, e = Q, f = G, g = M + Q, and h = T.

This cache is hidden along a somewhat busy road, so park off the road and watch the traffic.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.

After you solve the puzzle, please don't give the solution away; let others enjoy the frustration of working on it, and the joy of solving it themselves!!
