The cache is a small pill bottle wrapped in camo tape. I could probably place a much bigger cache in this location, but I found a convenient hide and had a container with me that worked.
The container is about a 10 yard stroll from the only view of downtown San Francisco that I have ever found in Huddart Park (assuming a clear day with no fog). It is accessible on an unmarked side trail/road that parallels the Crystal Springs Trail on the north side. The best access to this unofficial trail is from the west, at the point where the Crystal Springs Trail briefly passes adjacent to a wide intesection of Richards Rd. (marked by a log boundary). But that's not the only way; if you attempt to access the cache from directly downhill, and via the "man-made corridor", then the terrain rating goes up a notch.
This cache represents my seventh in the upper Huddart Park area, the first of which I started placing in summer of 2015. After that I just kept filling in all the gaps. I hike in Huddart Park often, so having my caches all in one area is a convenient way for me to keep these all well-maintained.
Enjoy the (limited) view, and please post any good city pics you might take.
Congrats to PDFrogs for FTF!
